Creating an identity
O Donut was a new start-up from a baking factory that wanted to create a brand around donuts. Since we were starting from a blank canvas, we had to come up with a name, visual identity, packaging design and their social media identity, the whole shebang.
We came up with the name OD derived from overdosing on sugar, great flavours and donuts! The concept was playful and dynamic that would resonate well with their target demographic of 16-35-year olds. We used a vibrant colour palette of blues and pinks for their visual identity along with a Graffiti style hand drawn illustration using simple lines that create multiple elements of the design. Following the playfulness theme we did the photography and showcased it with light backgrounds keeping the product in focus. Similarly, the packaging followed the same vibrant theme with bright colourful boxes for the donuts. The end result was a highly instagramable brand that has achieved month on month growth of 16 K unique impressions.
